Jean-Francois Minier is the Managing Director and CEO of the Asia-Pacific branch of Dresdner Kleinwort, a London-based investment bank. Mr. Minier first came to Japan in 1992 as an equity derivatives trader at WI Carr, and continued his work in Japan with Natwest Securities Tokyo, Morgan Stanley Japan, and Bankers Trust Tokyo. In 1998, Minier moved to London to begin his relationship with Dresdner Kleinwort, also in a derivatives trading capacity, before moving back to Tokyo in 2002 to serve as DKIB's Head of Global Securities.

  The European Business Council (EBC) is the trade policy arm of the 17 European national chambers of commerce and business associations in Japan. Established in 1972, the EBC works to improve the trade and investment environment for European companies in Japan.

The EBC currently represents more than 3,000 local European companies and individuals who are members of their national chambers of commerce. 350 of these companies participate directly in the EBC's 28 sector-based committees.
